We are delighted to announce the appointment of Tomo Honda (SDL 2021) as Japan Chapter Chair 🇯🇵

Tomo brings twelve years of extensive European experience across Switzerland, France, the United Kingdom and Germany, combining academic and professional development. His career reflects strong public service commitment, having served ten years as an elected member of Fukushima Prefectural Legislative Assembly, representing Nihonmatsu City.

Prior to joining the World Economic Forum, he worked as an advocacy consultant for European energy clients and American technology companies. Currently, he facilitates high-level stakeholder engagement between government representatives and the Forum's diverse constituency—global leaders, corporate executives, academic institutions and civil society organisations—during Davos and other initiatives.

He pursued his MBA at Sup de Luxe to incorporate European and French perspectives, complementing his English and Swiss studies. Though not leading to luxury brands, it positioned him excellently in international organisations valuing commercial acumen. As Japan Chapter Chair, he aspires to establish robust Tokyo-based alumni networks and cultivate distinguished platforms fostering meaningful professional connections.

A heartfelt thank you Tomo for your enthusiasm and commitment!

We wish the Japan Chapter every success for the official launch on July 15th 🥳
