Spotlight on New York: Sup de Luxe Continues to Expand Its International Influence
May marked a new milestone in the international development of Sup de Luxe and its alumni network.
In New York, two key moments highlighted the institution’s ability to showcase its expertise and bring its community together beyond borders. Alongside Marta Marcheva, Executive Director of Sup de Luxe, alumni, executives, and luxury professionals gathered around a shared ambition: to promote the excellence, transmission, and savoir-faire that have defined the Sup de Luxe spirit for more than 35 years.
Sup de Luxe at the Heart of International Luxury Conversations
During Luxe Pack New York 2026, one of the leading international events dedicated to luxury packaging, Sup de Luxe was represented by Marta Marcheva at a conference organized by LUXUS+.
Alongside Stéphane Blanchard, President of CHANEL U.S., she took part in a discussion focused on the concept of “Frenchness” in luxury and its lasting influence on American consumers.
The discussion highlighted the foundations of French luxury. Craftsmanship. Cultural heritage. The art of storytelling. Quiet excellence. These values continue to inspire brands around the world and contribute to the international influence of French savoir-faire.
In a symbolic year celebrating Franco-American relations, the exchange also emphasized the importance of intercultural dialogue in the development of luxury houses and in the transmission of their identity.
From Paris to New York
The trip also provided the opportunity for a highly anticipated moment: an official gathering of Sup de Luxe alumni in New York.
Organized by Douglas Kaplan, Class of 2020, the event took place in the iconic Peacock Alley at the Waldorf Astoria New York.
Professionals from leather goods, jewelry, watchmaking, hospitality, and consulting came together to share experiences, strengthen connections, and discuss the evolution of the luxury industry in North America.
Conversations explored several strategic topics. New consumer expectations. The evolution of the American market. Challenges related to production costs. The perception of French brands in the United States. Opportunities for growth within an industry that continues to evolve.
Beyond professional discussions, the gathering showcased the strength of the Sup de Luxe network. A community capable of bringing together talented professionals from diverse backgrounds around shared values and a common passion for luxury.
A Growing International Community
Today, New York represents one of the largest concentrations of Sup de Luxe alumni in the United States. This momentum is also reflected in the rapid growth of the community in Florida, particularly in the Miami area.
The enthusiasm of participants confirmed a strong desire to continue developing the US Chapter through future gatherings across several North American cities.
These initiatives demonstrate the vitality of the network and its ability to build bridges between generations, cultures, and sectors of the luxury industry.
From Paris to New York, Sup de Luxe continues to unite an engaged international community focused on the future.
A new illustration of the strength of the network and its growing influence around the world.
